NAU Head football coach Jerome Sours is retiring after the end of this season.  The announcement was made on Tuesday to ensure that the university and the community had an opportunity the thank coach Sours over the remainder of the season.  Coach Sours is the winningest coach in Big Sky history (113 wins (77 Conf. wins) and counting).  I remember playing football in Arizona in the late 90’s and Coach Sours visiting our practice.  We didn’t talk or anything, but when I saw this article it did remind me of that time and how, for most recent NAU grads, they’ve never known an NAU football program without Coach Sours.  We wish you the best Coach, and thank you for all the great memories you’ve given us.  You truly are a Lumberjack Legend!
